Rotary eClub NY1's "Earthly Headquarters"
Dear fellow Rotarians,
Rotary eClub NY1 was a sponsor of the Holiday on Main Street in The Children's Museum, 311 Main Street, Utica NY on Saturday, November 30th. Visitors enjoyed fun family activities that celebrated the various holidays & cultural events of our diverse community!
They Shared wishes w/Santa & Mrs. Claus, Viewed our Festival of Trees, Did early shop from 50-70% off Neat Auction Items, Viewed Musical Light Show w/Village, Viewed our Rotary E-club display, Interacted w/Nano-tech & Lego activities, Saw Critters get fed, Ran our numerous train exhibits, Piloted our real airplane, Enjoyed our LED Play Dance Floor and Healthy Kids Hut, just a few of our 100’s of interactive exhibits on 4 floors.
As one parent said last year "It’s just awesome, there’s so much to do, and it’s very kid friendly”.
We also were open Friday, Nov. 29th with all the other activities, except Santa & Mrs. Claus plus were there on Friday. Santa & all activities were there on Saturday.
This fundraiser, and the co-sponsorship of our Rotary e-Club, helps us keep our Admission fees low, and bring in children of low-income families, as we get no income from the City or County, and Rotarians Executive Director, Marlene Brown, and Exhibits Manager Earl Lewis, run the operations as unpaid volunteers.
We're also trying to raise money to built a STEM Center. Please help support us with a donation to our secure shopping cart. (And a special thank you to the two members who already sent in donations via our cart).
Sincerely, PDG Marlene Brown -founder of Rotary
